RV Campground Search Made Easy
Fourth of July is right around the corner and I just got the best news! My family is bringing their RV for that weekend to celebrate Independence Day and go camping with us at the beach! We realized there may not be many places left for such a popular camping weekend, so I got right to work on finding us a great RV park that fits all of our needs and has space for us.
I recently read that Woodall’s has a new campground search, so I decided to use it to help find us a couple camp sites nearby in Ventura. The New Campground Search Engine is conveniently located right on their website homepage at http://www.woodalls.com/. First, I plugged in the city and state (Ventura, CA) and it instantly came up with 45 results within a 50 mile radius of Ventura. Then, because my family is coming to Ventura to be close to the beach, I opted to sort the results of my search with the “distance” option. The other convenient options you can use for sorting/viewing your search listing results include: Featured Campgrounds, Facility Ratings, Restroom Ratings, and Appearance Ratings.
The filters on the left-hand side of the page are especially helpful for narrowing down your choices of campgrounds to stay at, based on ratings, features, and amenities. Knowing my family and how simple and easy-going they are, I left the filters alone and only cared about the location for this specific campground search.
The first one that popped up, after I adjusted the order the results were listed in, was the elite Ventura Beach RV Resort. This luxurious resort is close to the ocean, offers 144 sites with full hookups, boasts excellent ratings, as well as amenities galore. While I am familiar with this campsite and think it’s definitely a nice place to stay, I also know my family is specifically coming here to be near the ocean and want nothing more than to have the relaxing sound of the waves lull them to sleep. So I moved on to the next listing.
The second one on the list was a perfect match for us; Emma Wood Beach North’s campsites are located right on the beach and it is much cheaper than the Ventura Beach RV Resort. Not only is Emma Wood a world renown surf spot, but lucky for us, they had two more spots left for the 4th of July weekend! Thankfully, we were able to book the remaining two sites on http://www.reserveamerica.com/. Although Emma Wood Beach North doesn’t offer all of the nice amenities that the Ventura Beach RV Resort has, it is as close to the ocean as you can get an RV and that is all that matters to us!
