The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) ^[4] recently reported that nearly 8 million American households have an RV—Class A motorhome, Class C motorhome, diesel pusher, travel trailer, fifth wheel trailer, toy hauler, teardrop trailer, pop-up trailer, tent trailer, vintage trailer, truck camper, camper van, or bus conversion—and that there are as many as 30 million RV enthusiasts in the U.S.

Wothahellizat

This off-road, knows-no-bounds, go anywhere, 6X6 luxury turbo diesel AWD motorhome with bite!

The Wothahellizat is a vehicle that’s part condo and part off-roader with no compromises.

Built by Australian nature photographer Rob Gray, the Wothahellizat was created with the aim of getting to out-of-the-way places in the wilderness and staying there for long stretches at a time. Built to carry three months of supplies, it regularly spends months at a time in the vast Australian outback.

As a 6X6 turbo diesel AWD, it gets to better, quieter, and more secluded campsites because it can handle rougher terrain than the average motorhome.

BeauEr 3X Expanding Trailer

BeauEr 3X slide-out caravan

Originally launched in 2010, this tin-can shaped tourer looks like just another micro-caravan, until you put the key in and operate the telescopic sliding mechanism, which allows this trailer to slide out in both directions, tripling the interior space in just 20 seconds.

Built on an Al-Ko chassis with a polyester bodyshell, Beau claims it is also highly aerodynamic due to its smoothly curved exterior design.

The four-berth layout comprises a pair of double beds, measuring up at an ample 6 feet 3 inches x 4 feet 7 inches and 6 feet 10 inches x 4 feet 7 inches respectively.

But one thing’s for sure—if you pitch up in one of these this summer you will certainly turn heads.

The Mongolian steppe can be a cold desolate place.

However, the weather and terrain did not deter a pair of wealthy businessmen friends from Ulan Bator, Mongolia.

The men purchased two military-spec Mercedes-Benz Zetros trucks and retrofitted them with living quarters fit for the Great Khan himself: heated marble floors, leather couches, automatic folding tables, two flat-screen televisions, and a side bay for an ATV.

Under the hood the motorhomes boast a mighty 7.2-liter inline-six cylinder turbo-diesel engine that cranks out 326-horsepower at a thunderous 959 pounds-feet of torque between 1,200 and 1,600 RPM—enough torque to climb up a wall, if they didn’t weigh 10-tons each.

At over 33 feet in length and 8.8 feet in width the Zetros will struggle to fit into two parking bays. Despite these vehicles being designed for the harshest conditions, our Mongolian friends have spared no expense in creating the ultimate motorhome.

Marchi Mobile eleMMent

According to Marchi Mobile, the strange-looking design is aerodynamic enough to give a fuel efficiency boost of about 20 percent along with what I would assume is a fairly tremendous view of the road. When compared to a similarly sized monstrosity of course. (Source: marchi-mobile.com)

Taking a rather futuristic leap is the Marchi Mobile eleMMent, which offers luxury and comfort, along with flexibilities of space rarely noticed anywhere.

Their purposely misspelt eleMMent line, playing up the company’s double-M namesake, is the latest high-end luxury coach to include amenities that no one really needs in a recreational vehicle but would probably love to have given an unlimited pocketbook.

You’ll be the envy of the RV Park when you pull up in your eleMMent, a 510 horsepower with auto-transmission, 40-foot long monstrosity, which features a pop-up sky lounge with rooftop patio and fog machine, and customized paint job that glows in the dark.
