Heading North to Alaska?

Are you driving north to Alaska this summer?
If so, be sure to consult the amazing North To Alaska resource. I used this resource when we drove the Alaska Highway about six years ago. I contacted the organization before we left Anchorage that August and everything they told me and gave me, including the map and a guidebook, was priceless. The publication and the online version are designed to help facilitate your journey and ignite your enthusiasm for the trip. Indeed, it did for us! While we were driving with our travel trailer and our three children in tow, I kept the map on my lap and made notes and markings as we passed various towns and sites. I still have that tattered map and indeed I cherish it! While doing research and formulating story ideas, I often pull it out for inspiration.
So, before you leave, I recommend that you consult the online resource and explore various routes and points of interest at home. While doing that, be sure to order a hard copy of the material so you can reference it while en route. I also recommend that you take your time while traveling this historic road. Without a doubt, it’s remote, beautiful, and memorable.
