Lake Mead RV Village RV SiteWhat’s the closest RV park to Hoover Dam, has big rig, pull thru and back-in sites—some with incredible lake views—and offers all the bells and whistles you could possibly want in a superlative RV park including on-site Wi-Fi, cable TV (including Showtime), and a wonderful Village Hall for meeting and congregating with family, friends and new friends? It’s Lake Mead RV Village! Located near the shoreline of beautiful Lake Mead, Nevada—and actually part of the Lake Mead National Recreation Area (the country’s first NRA)—this friendly, spacious (115 sites) and accommodating Park is just what the Doctor ordered for rest, relaxation and recreation. Naturally, there are full hook ups, clean restrooms, warm showers and a 24-hour Laundromat on site. All sites have picnic tables and most have fire rings at the space. There’s also a well-stocked convenience store for groceries, toiletries, beverages, snacks and ice. Propane is available on site as well.

Kick back and enjoy yourself at the comfortable Lake Mead RV Village Hall. It has two meeting rooms and a wonderful outdoor patio. The Village Hall has a kitchen to accommodate your group gatherings. Get a game of Bocce Ball going or play horseshoes with the family. If you travel in tandem with others or plan a reunion of sorts, this is a perfect group setting that’s “self contained” so you can gather together conveniently without a lot of “outsider” intrusions.Lake Mead Village Hall

So what’s there to do around Lake Mead RV Village? The Park has seasonal interpretative presentations as well as occasional live music by the Cochran’s. It’s just a short walk from the park to Boulder Beach; plus it’s an easy drive partially around Lake Mead to Callville Bay Marina to where you can rent speedboats, fishing boats, PWCs and other water toys. Most guests spend a day or two exploring Hoover Dam and taking tours of the famous landmark that created Lake Mead– by damming the Colorado River. It’s only 6 miles away. In 2010, a stunning by-pass bridge that crosses the Colorado River opened, linking Arizona and Nevada. Not only does it save precious time for travelers, but it’s also become quite an attraction, drawing visitors exploring its interpretive displays or those who just want to walk the bridge and enjoy the spectacular views. Historic Boulder City is also close to the Park. Don’t expect to sneak into Boulder City for gaming; there are no casinos in Boulder City but there is plenty to see and do in this quaint little town that started as the nesting site for the management and workers building Hoover Dam. And, of course, there’s Las Vegas just 45 minutes from the Park. You can visit Vegas for the glitter, gaming and nightlife and then easily return to the quiet, peaceful lakeside comforts of the Park.Lake Mead RV Village
