A Resource for Traveling Washington’s Scenic Byways

[1]If you plan to travel around or visit Washington state this summer, then I suggest you check out the Scenic Byways and Road Trips resource [2]. Published by Washington The State, the resource is a fabulous tool to use when traveling hither and yon around this massive coastal state.
The guide is broken up into three sections: All-American Roads, National Scenic Byways, and State Scenic Byways. Indeed, I’ve traveled many of these over the years, but I wasn’t aware of this resource until this weekend when I was visiting Whibey Island for the Penn Cove Musselfest. I stopped by the Coupeville Chamber of Commerce while meandering around the historic area of Coupeville. This hefty magazine caught my eye so I grabbed one. The book gives info on historical sights, natural attractions, local resources, and driving distance.
I’ve spent hours upon hours traveling throughout Washington and now I wish that this book had been in my hands throughout the journey. The information is priceless. You can order the book here [3] or you can view it online.
