“Allow me to be your guide to the wonderful accommodations, activities and attractions of our resort in the beautiful Pennsylvania Dutch Country! Lake-In-Wood Camping Resort is “Home to the Gnomes” because it is a friendly place, built to suit the lifestyles of today’s campers (even the knee-high ones). From a weekend in your tent to a season in our deluxe park models, our resort becomes a treasured “Home Away from Home!”.  We gnomes are experienced “full-time” campers. After living under mushrooms, in hollow trees and the like for many years, it’s nice to finally enjoy resort-quality facilities.

Our goal is to be the best park that we can be so it pleases me to tell you that we have a 10/10 /10 Trailer Life rating.  AND, Woodalls classifies us a 5 star campground!  Finally, Lake in Wood Camping Resort has been honored as a 2011 Top 300+ Rated Trailer Life Directory Park.

Lake-In-Wood Camping Resort is a camping paradise!  Just like us gnomes, you’ll enjoy the finest in camping sites and amenities.  For RV campers like me, Lake-In-Wood offers 400 wooded or open sites. Big rigs are welcome at their pull-thru sites. These spacious campsites accommodate even my new oversized “motorized carriage” and I never worry about banging slide outs with my neighbors. [2]

Most sites feature full hookups, including 20/30/50 AMP electric and cable television. I keep my computer connected to this electronic World Wide Web with the resort’s free on-site Secure Wi-Fi Internet service, TENGO.

If you’re like some of my younger brethren and like a “back to basics” tent camping experience, the resort features many rustic tenting sites.  Each of these tent sites is covered with a thick cushion of wood chips which provide a soft, comfortable surface on which to spread your tent.

It has everything you need!  It’s easy for me to keep my cupboards stocked with visits to their Trading Post. I can also rent a golf cart, bike, Fun Cycle or Joy Rider and sign out any athletic equipment I might want. In exchange, I often drop off some of my handiwork that you can buy as souvenirs.

[3]No matter how you choose to camp, be it by RV, tent or one of the resort’s unique rentals, I guarantee that you’ll enjoy nature’s beauty in the heart of Pennsylvania’s Dutch Country.
