7 Feathers RV Resort

One of the advantages of being a full-time RVer is the flexible schedule. Except for the busy camping holidays, we are able to change our plans easily. One of these changes in plans resulted in us visiting the 7 Feathers RV resort in Canyonville, Oregon . As we talked with one camper after another who told us just how nice this resort is, we decided that we would modify our “planned” route, and take a detour. We are happy that we did. The resort was excellent. We exited I-5 and Canyonville, and immediately saw the 7 Feathers casino and hotel, truck and travel plaza, and the sign for the RV Resort. We followed the short entry road (noticing the construction on either side) to the office. The line of RVs waiting to check-in let us know just how popular this resort is. The check-in process was smooth and efficient. The people who were escorting the RVs to their sites even jotted down our tag numbers and handed it to us as we walked into the office—since he knew they were going to ask us for it. Because of our reservation, most of our information was already in the system, so we were ready to go after we were told about all the amenities, including the free coffee and the 24-hour shuttle.
We were guided to our site, and found wide interior roads, and sites with ample space for all sizes of RVs and campers. Our site had 50 amp hook-ups, two water lines, two sewer connections (to accommodate any rig) and cable television. The resort also had free wi-fi, a pool and spa, a playground, an exercise room, a visitors center, a book exchange, an office (with a printer and modem), and plenty of family-style showers (the ones where each shower is a complete bathroom).
The landscaping was very nice and the views were incredible. Since the resort is connected with the casino, if you sign up for the free player’s club card you get an additional 10% discount on the price of your site. The pet area was fenced and was grass.
There was a walkway to the truck and travel plaza which had a convenience store, deli, and a restaurant that served the best Oregon blackberry cobbler we’ve ever tasted (Creekside Restaurant ). While it is an easy walk, you can take the shuttle to the casino, where there are several other restaurants, with regular specials. Each time we boarded the shuttle, they let us know about the specials and events that were happening at the casino. The shuttle would also take you into Canyonville , and when you were ready to return to the resort, you just gave them a call and it was only a few minutes before they picked you up. Canyonville is a nice little town with plenty of shops and restaurants to keep us busy for a couple of weeks.
Canyonville is also in a great location for day trips to the coast, or (since we had just left the coast) to Crater Lake . We took one road to Crater Lake, then took the North exit and returned another route. It was a great way to spend a day. If you are following I-5 through Oregon, you should not miss 7 Feathers RV Resort.
