[1]Snacks are an important addition to our well being and are a popular RV ritual for most travelers. Trying to lose weight for 2010? If you like popcorn, you have to try this! Just pop ½ cup popcorn in your hot air popper. While it is popping out into a bowl, lightly spray it with olive oil spray. Add salt and one or two packets of stevia or your favorite “fake” sugar or even 1 Tbsp powdered sugar. A little sugar is not that bad on a diet. Add a light sprinkle of cinnamon if desired. This tastes so much like kettle corn you won’t believe it! Be careful, because it is addictive! I keep a bag of powdered sugar mixed with salt and cinnamon and I make this popcorn with a Tbsp of that mixture and just shake it through a strainer while shaking the popcorn around. This video shows how easy it is. My friends Fred and Joanne gave me this idea and I’ve been hooked on it since then. Popcorn is great because it feels like you are getting a really BIG snack, but it’s really not that much actual food. Just a handful of chips or nuts will be more calories than 5 cups of popped corn. If you make this with your windows or door open in the RV you’re bound to get company because it smells so good. Remember, we NEED this stuff! Snacks are important especially when we are enjoying the great outdoors. Share with us your favorite quick and easy snacks that are low in calories. RVing and snacking…. just seems to go together!
